Concealed Fixing BracketsAfter you have purchased your floating shelves we will choose the most suitable concealed fixing brackets to send. This is based on the size of your shelf, the weight it has to carry and the construction of your wall. Your floating shelves will be manufactured to accommodate either the Screw type bracket or for the Re- Bar system both pictured below. Unless we are notified that your floating shelves will be installed on a plasterboard or cavity wall, and then the shelves will be manufactured to accommodate the Plate Bracket. The Screw Type Concealed Fixing BracketOur most widely used fixing bracket. We recommend these when your shelf is being fixed to a solid wall (Brick or Block) and your shelf is no deeper than 300mm. They are very easy to fit and will hold a weight load of up to 35kg on a shelf width of approx 1000mm up to a maximum 3000mm in one length These Concealed Fixing Brackets are available to purchase please press here. The Re-Bar systemThese are resin fixed steel bars. Suitable for solid walls Only. To be used when you are going to put heavy loads on your shelves. Will support 50kg upwards. The Plate BracketThe Plate Bracket can be used when you are fixing your floating shelves to a cavity wall, a ply wall or a plaster board wall. They can be fixed with plasterboard fixings (not supplied unless asked for at the point of purchase please call 0207 903 5383 to request) Please note when fixing to these types of wall the weight capacity of your shelves is dramatically reduced.
